Note: this will be my first debate senate semester at UMB and I've yet to visit the campus and probably won't until classes start.
So, I've got four classes on my schedule and it was slated to be two online and two on campus. At the last minute, one of the two on-site classes has transitioned to being remote. In the profs note, she envisions the class being mostly synchronous, just not in person, with participation and two presentations being a part of overall evaluation.
Because of where it fits in my schedule in relation to the (now) only on-site class - they're essentially back to back - I can't do the remote class from home.
I would guess that the common areas of the library would be inappropriate for active class participation or giving a presentation. Are there any places on campus that have bookable rooms or otherwise suitable areas for active participation in a remote class without being disruptive to others who might be around?
