Post Body

I’m about to complete my CMSC 105 course towards my degree in Computer Science. I’m nervous as hell about taking CALC 1 2, considering I’ve never been naturally talented in mathematics, I wasn’t even able to take precal in high school ~10 years ago.

I think my longterm plan is to pursue a career in cybersecurity or red teaming, so maybe Cyber Operations would be a better fit for me. I’ve been under the impression that CS would give me a stronger foundation with computing (and honestly seems a little bit more prestigious) but I’m beginning to wonder if I’m heading in the wrong direction with CS.

Does anyone have any advice here?
