Housing advice for an incoming transfer

Post Body

I know this question gets asked a lot but I just committed as a sophomore transfer and I'm still very confused about the housing process.

What's the likelihood of getting on-campus housing? I have heard many different things ranging from its impossible to sometimes there's space available. If it's even possible, is it worth it? Being close to campus so I can find community is very important.

Now to off-campus. I haven't checked with ResLife or TSOC but I'm aware that I'm going to be going through this process relatively late so what options do I have right next to campus? Is there any I should avoid? (I've heard T-Row is bad, The Varsity is good, etc) are the good options usually still available for lease at this point in the year or would it be better to just find a sublet?

Also any recommendations for roommates? I'm privy to the facebook groups and found a couple insta pages but is there any specific apps or websites that any of you have used that could be better?

If anyone could share some advice or your personal experiences that would be much appreciated. Thanks and may Testudo bestow you good fortune on your finals!
