Hey hikers,
Usually I'd post to both UL UK and the more USA centric UL subreddit but I'm looking for opinions on the John Muir Way in Scotland - no confusion required.
The US version certainly looks attractive and is well documented whilst the Scottish version has little information, guide books etc.
Usually I'd look at YouTube videos to get a feel for the route, those that are available don't do a lot to sell it. It mostly looks like a lot of mediocre scenery and road walking.
I'd really appreciate opinions on the quality of the route from anyone with personal experience.
Background: My wife and I have completed the west highland way and the pennine way, we were due to emigrate this year but now we're looking at making the best of our time in the UK and looking for the best hikes we can do with 2 weeks holiday for example.
The Cape Wraith trail and Wainwright's coast to coast are high on our list but will probably exceed this time allocation.
Thanks
