So, yesterday, I decided to do a nice solo walk up Snowdon. The weather was beautiful, and I thought āeh, why not go back via Crib Goch? Main route was so easy, Iāve got bouldering and scrambling experience, it shouldnāt be too hardāā¦ I get past the first 2 sections fairly straightforward then realise the true beast that lay ahead of me, the dark clouds started rolling in, and for the first time in the day, the wind picked up.. and I panicked. Legs turned to jelly and I couldnāt stand anymore. So.. I decided to go down the side of the mountain. I slid down the scree on my ass and on all 4s, and I am truly amazed nothing bad happened. Morale to the story is.. well, 2 things. 1. Iām not dead. 2. Please donāt be as stupid as I was; go with friends up Crib Goch, or at least someone who knows the routes well.
