Can I swap duck fat for lard?

Post Body
I usually get the small salad potatoes, part boil & squash them down half way with a mashed to open them up and then cook them like roast potatoes in duck fat. Its delicious.
Co-Op didn’t have any duck fat in today so I got a pack of lard, will this be okay or will it be horrible?
