Hi, so I just got a travel card, one for when i go one holiday abroad and not have to carry cash around but to also separate my fun money from my debit card account so i don't over spend, due to things becoming more and more cashless and being a person who uses cash as a way to budget, I decided to join the digital cash world by getting a travel card to separate my fun money from other important money for things like bills ect.
Basically I'm wondering if this is a pointless exercise or just something that comes of depending on the person? I've tried budgeting on my debit card but ended up overspending in the past and now as more places in my area asking to be cashless, it's more difficult to be just cash.
Tldr; is it pointless to use a travel money card for budgeting my fun money that i'd normally use just cash for in a growing digital cash world.
