Hi all
I’m looking to gain some opinion on downsizing a house to reduce my mortgage and the reliance on a corporate, stressful job.
I’ve got a 255k house that I can downsize to a 230k house. By investing savings I can be left with a 10k mortgage on the new house.
Has anyone any experience in this? I’m now considering if I should keep my current role which has an 80k salary or pursue a more creative role that would bring more satisfaction but probably minimum wage.
In reality will I still need more monthly money than I imagine to survive? Is it wise to stick a few more years and maybe save £20k as a buffer?
Age is mid 30s.
Any opinions welcome. Will take no offence! Thank you in advance
