TL;DR: can I transfer a recently opened (this tax year) cash ISA to a new provider when I don't already have an account with the new provider?
I've opened a new cash isa in this tax year and paid some money into it. There are now other providers offering a better rate so I'd like to move my money.
I know you can't open 2 cash isa's in the same year but it looks like transfers don't count. So I'm not sure whether I can transfer my recently opened account to a new provider given I'd need to open a new account to do the transfer... Can anyone square this circle for me?
