Best hoover for lots of dog hair and children mess

We currently own this
Shark portable Upright Vacuum Cleaner [NZ801UKTSB] Anti-Hair Wrap, Pet Brush, Car Detail Kit, Red & Black https://amzn.eu/d/3SqwOXh
as it would recommend by a friend but its awful.
Hardly picks anything up, tiny storage for picked up from hoovering and gets jammed with hair easily.
We have a golden Retriever who constantly sheds a lot and a carpet that loves taking his fur.
Would love your recommendations please
