Is it a good idea to put down a job on a CV if your contract was terminated early?

Post Body

Hello,

I managed to get two infosec job offers , I took one that ran at a 6 month contract. It was in a field that I greatly wished to enter, however I was very underworked, and was severely screwed over. My team leader decided to invent a reason to get rid of me, and did so two weeks before my probation ended meaning that I was therefore unable to get a months notice. I was blind sided with this information and wasn't able to think well enough to say anything that could've helped, and they aren't replying to any messages I send to them.

This now leads me in a extremely annoying situation.

on one hand, I want to put my experience on the CV to show that I am able to attain this kind of job, and that I haven't just quit my old job from January and spent the past 3-5 months sitting on my ass doing nothing. After all, my CV was good enough to get me two job offers at once.

On the other, I feel like it was a very short tenure there, and I am not sure if I would have to get them involved if I were to get the job with references, or the fact that I was in what I would call my dream job and decided to leave little under 3 months. Wouldn't that be a major red flag for any company? How would I even explain what happened? However the only other relevant experience I have in this field was in 2017, so something recent would be good.

Normally I would go for the first option, but I am aware of time marching on, and I am getting a bit anxious to pick myself up
