Throwaway because my main has my face!
I’ve been working as a customer success executive at a SaaS company for 2 and a half years. For 2 years I’ve been promised a pay rise and now I’m told the company is simply too broke. I’ve been looking for a role in customer success, but my job title/duties don’t match what other roles in the industry are posting.
Most roles I see that are suitable are paying at least 10k less so it’s not even worth job hopping.
I’ve been doing the role of 3 people, even with 2 new hires who are useless. My manager can see I’m miserable, he’s constantly refusing my annual leave requests and refuses to talk about a pay rise.
I’m constantly on the late shifts (4 weeks back to back working until 1am or overnight until 9am is the longest stint) because I’m one of 2 competent people in the team, and least likely to say no. My social life is verging on nonexistent.
Earlier in the year I went for an internal role in the CSM team. I went through all the rounds just to be told they wouldn’t hire me because they couldn’t be bothered to train me.
I’m miserable and don’t know where to go from here. Sorry for the rant!
Edit: some points to add: I’ve not had a KPI or review meeting since my 3 month probation. We have a 4 week shift pattern rotation. This hasn’t successfully worked for a year since we’ve been so short staffed. I am disproportionally assigned more late shifts than anyone else. We all have a shift allowance added to our pay. This doesn’t change even if you work more late shifts
