I'm currently finishing my degree in Law at a Non-RG uni with an expected grade of 2:1. I would ideally like to use my degree in the legal sector but from what I can see I've no chance. It seems even basic paralegal roles at small firms require a minimum years experience.
My issues are I'm a father so I'm unable to volunteer as I wouldn't be able to afford it. It also means I will be aiming to jump into a job ASAP so I am applying in other fields too.
Currently my thinking is, depending on what I end up doing in the next few months, is saving up and completing the SQE personally within the next few years to boost my chances, then move into the legal sector. However I know 2 years legal experience is needed for the second part of the SQE which, without a training contract, seems nigh impossible.
Is my best bet to just continue life as normal whilst applying to every training contract that comes available? Or is there another avenue I could take?
Thanks in advance
