I'm trying to decide between doing a degree in computing & electronic engineering and doing anl course or an apprenticeship to maybe become a mechanic or an electrician or even becoming a repairman.
I know that doing engineering will give me a higher salary but I just don't know if the theory and mathematics and design side of it is really that appealing to me as something to do for the rest of my life.
I get a lot more satisfaction from doing hands-on work, building and repairing things and I know I could always find satisfaction doing this but I really want to be getting a high salary eventually and I don't know if this will ever lead to that even if I become expert level. Unless I start my own business but I don't know if I fancy that and there isn't much chance of making it a big success.
