I'm designing an audio plugin. The interface is rendered in a 3D app, and is an image sequence of about 128 frames to capture all of the knob rotation and slider moves.
I can easily bring this image sequence into Photoshop or After Effects to do post production, but here is the issue: I have yet to find a clean, simple workflow for slicing the interface into so I can export the individual UI assets.
In my ideal solution, I'd simply use the slice tool in Photoshop to carve up the various regions (a la web design circa 2002) and export all the elements that way, but slices doesn't work with animation.
I could use precomps in AE, but that's clunky.
Are there any headache-free solutions our there that will let me slice up an image sequence or movie and export the cropped regions?
