So I just wanna say this. I guess today marks an end to my senior year. Although I’m coming back to campus in a few months to start grad school (assuming everything gets under control), this is not how I wanted my undergrad to end at all. Especially since I won’t probably see the majority of my class again, probably forever, this is a really tough pill to swallow. I feel so many emotions right now. Sadness, anger, bitterness... and yet I also feel gratitude and hope. Because when I think about it, amidst all of the ups and downs, these past few years have been nothing short of amazing. These past few years have taught me so much, and I’ve met so many great people , and these memories I’ve made here are something that I’ll cherish forever. If any of my friends are reading this, I just want to tell you: thank you. You guys have made these past years unforgettable, and no words I say can ever fully express that. And finally, I feel hope. Why? Because, as cheesy as it sounds, this too shall pass. This virus will not destroy us. Campus will reopen fully. Classes will meet face-to-face again. We will see our friends again, congregate in big crowds again. That’s just not now. A wise woman I knew once said: “Not now doesn’t mean no. It means not now. “ And I think that’s true especially in this case. I know a lot of us are emotional right now, especially me, but this will pass. Life will go back to usual. It may not be for awhile. But it will. Just wait.
