It wasn't a UFO but I just wanted to share my experience seeing a meteor. This was late winter/early spring this year in Edmonton, Canada and I was out walking my dog pretty early. 6 am or so. He tends to pull at the corner we were at because there's always a hare hanging out there and he gets excited so I was looking down and not really paying attention to the sky like I usually do (unfortunately in this case and I'm still kicking myself). All the sudden everything around me lights up and I see my shadow bright as day and I look up and behind me to see a trail of fire maybe 200 meters long and maybe 300 or 400 meters up and away. It was just hanging there in the sky glowing orange for maybe 5 seconds until it cooled and disappeared and was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I just wish I'd been looking up when the meteor flashed past. I know it's not a UFO but I thought you guys might appreciate some natural phenomena.
