It didn't look exactly like this but similar. First of all the lights around the ufo were flashing rapidly Red, Blue, and Green. The bottom was thicker and no circle thing on the bottom as in this picture. The only other difference would be the top window thing was much smaller on it.

Here's the story. When I was a kid my father took me outside our house in the yard to watch stars. In California early 2000's. We sat in the front yard with a blanket and we hung out for a while. Then sadly my father said he'd be back and went inside my house. (To get cigs? I forgot) after a while of waiting watching the stars I ended up seeing something at the end of the Cul De Sac.

I noticed how low the object i was observing was to the ground. And so darn clear. It was flying/hovering? silently the same height as a tree I couldn't believe it. I had such a clear view! The flashing lights around it reminded me of Christmas. I wasn't scared just stunned. I have idea what the ufo was made of but looked like metal I think.

It slowly was moving down our Cul De Sac and that's when I decided I needed my dad out now. I couldn't wait for him to come out so I got him yelled for him to come quick. By the time we got there it was gone. I ran down to where the ufo was going holding my dad's hand thinking maybe trees were blocking it or something. But it was gone within a minute and no one believes me or ever will. I still can't shut up about it. Wtf was it? The Government? Aliens?
