I'm a MechE major, and I was wondering what type of calculators the higher division classes used. Buying a new one, I was basically wondering if I just need something like a TI84 or if I needed something more like the NSpire or another device.

I tried to use VAC but they only responded with "we need to talk to someone else who knows more, we'll be with you shortly" but it's been a week.

Edit: Okay, more info about me. I've had the TI84 for high school, but now my brothers need it so I gave them mine (since school for us started so much later). Now I can get another one. I'm already used to the 84's layout and everything, which is one reason I'm worried about getting the NSpire.

Also, I got the TI34 for Chem which needed a simpler scientific calculator, so I have that as well.
