Hey guys,

I’m an incoming freshman and I recently got approved for an SR permit. I know we’re not supposed to bring cars but since i work in Santee in a very specific niche I need my car to commute to work every day as it is my only way to pay for school. Now, I read all the posts talking about how parking is really tough to find and I also went on the portal to purchase the permit and it came out to around $375 just for fall quarter. I wanted to ask if anyone has any ideas as to what I should do (is there street parking anywhere near muir where i can park overnight, etc.) since the prices are insane ($5/day) and I can’t really get to Santee any other way (public transport would take me about 1.5 hrs one way).

If any of you have walked the ropes and know something I don’t (and isn’t available on google) please let me know. I really appreciate the help!
