this is a question and mini rant….

question: i accepted both unsubsidized and subsidized loans but only my subsidized loan is showing up on triton pay… is anybody else having this issue? is there a reason for this?

also, is cal grant separate from ucsd grant in aid or is that considered cal grant? not sure if i should be expecting more money. i checked the cal grant award website and it only say my cal grant away is pending…

rant: if our payment options(grants/loans/etc.) are still pending, how are they expecting us to pay by the 20th?!? everyone is saying to speak to financial aid but that’s nearly impossible right now. and when you do talk to them, they are super condescending and rude and redirect you to the help email website page. i understand it is a stressful time for fa office but that’s not our fault… the school should help in hiring more people and making sure they are well paid as the school is receiving a lot of money from students paying tuition and other sources 😁 this is not to say i am not grateful for the opportunity to attend ucsd but it almost seems impossible to get help at such a crucial time.
