Need some advice
Post Body

Hey guys,

I am a second year student who is seriously struggling with what to do. I feel unbelievably burnt out and my mental health has been declining (I know I sound like just about every student at this school). On top of that I really feel like I am about to declare into the wrong major. After this quarter I will be declaring into a major that I have absolutely no interest in that I chose solely for the fact that it was in a field that can make a lot of money. I have grown a lot as a person since applying to college and understand that I really should pursue studies in a field that genuinely interests me or brings me joy. I am just so lost. I feel that if I attempt to change my major now I would pretty much be fucking myself by throwing away everything Ive done up to this point and would just be a huge financial burden as I would need to stay at school for so many extra quarters. I also have been considering withdrawing for a bit and then coming back after I figure out with my life but even then I am scared that all withdrawing will do is further my discontent with the situation I am in and make me question it all. Again I am just so lost and don't know what to do. Also yes I've talked to advisers multiple times and all they made me realize was that this school knows how to hire the most incompetent advising team who are unable to actually address and solve your problems. Sorry for the rant and ramble enjoy your weeks everybody!

Thanks.
