Discussion: What is a "safe space" to you?
Post Body

The thread "What do you hate about UCI? What do you love?" had a response regarding political correctness and I was going to post a response, but my post evolved into a rant about what safe spaces where when I was growing up and what they are today. And I do my best derail a discussion with my own rant.

So, I want to ask:

  • What is a "safe space" to you?
  • If you were to walk into an area clearly labeled as a "safe space", what would you expect to experience?
  • Ignoring your current expectations what do you think a safe space should be?
  • Do you consider your pseudonymity in r/UCI a safe space?
