So Swagman Sightings?

So I didnt know until recently, but apparently its bad like to take a photo of Swagman? I took one last quarter and my friends told me it was apparently bad luck and causes you to fail your finals. Seeing him is good luck, but the photo is bad luck.
Anyone else heard of this and know how true it is?
