Bursary appeal due to deadline missed.

Hi all,
I am an Ontario student who applied to the UBC bursary fund and had my application rejected due to my student loan confirmation taking too long to process. Has anyone appealed to UBC for a bursary issue? I think my application may have been missed or something because when my confirmation wasn't sent by OSAP until the day after I contacted UBC asking why my enrollment wasn't confirmed. Will speak to an ESP as well but wanted to see if any other students had any insight on the appeal process.
