It’s a reference to a passage in the Bible and I am pretty sure it is this one.
Psalm 22:12 Many bulls have surrounded me; Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.
Which I believe is talking about Jesus after he dies and does his brief stint in hell…which would go with the theme of the song.

Well it is in Psalms which is Old Testament. I think this was one of the Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah….Jesus or otherwise
