Did Rattle and Hum almost kill them?
Post Body
There's always the talk of Achtung saving their career (It definitely gave them new life and it's easily one of the biggest and Best left turns in music history), but was the R&H backlash that bad?
I really enjoy the album, for instance. I don't think we needed that Helter Skelter cover, but otherwise it's a good record, a tribute to American roots rock music. But I guess the ambition of the project made it come out wrong to people.
