Sphere band sound

I have only heard clips from the first show and while it looked awesome it sounded really bad. Bono seemed very flat and searching and the music itself did not seem to have any resonance.
Was it first show bugs to work out? Have the other shows sounded better? Does the venue just not produce good quality sound?
Curios for the opinion of those who attended?
