I (17) was diagnosed with t1d when I was 7, so i’ve been doing this for about a decade but i’m not sure if i’m doing good.
For a little background, I have several autoimmune diseases (fibro cfs/me) that make it difficult for me to keep track of my sugars when im asleep. But my dad is insistent that i need to be able to 100% manage my sugars when i’m sleeping once i turn 18. (Im not moving out anytime soon tho as my other illnesses make that impossible for now)
I think i’ve been doing great as my a1c is 5.6 and has been in the 5’s for a year or so now. My time in range (according to my dexcom) is 65-70% of the time. I barely go low but i do go high (220-240) at least once a day.
What do you think? Is my dad right or overreacting?
