Got my vinyl! But...

My vinyl came in finally! So excited I put it on and started playing it, and it jumps. Has anyone else had this issue? I cleaned the needle and the checked the vinyl, I don't see a reason it would skip. It has a slight warp, but it's not the worst warp I've ever seen or played.
I don't really know what's going on, and I'm very disappointed, especially after waiting as long as I did.
