Controversial take after watching in full for the first time… the last 4 seasons were bad because of Alan.

I posted a week or two ago if I should watch after Charlie was gone. The responses were pretty clear - most people do not watch after season 8. However FOMO made me keep watching.
I didn’t mind Walden as much as I hated what they did to Alan. He was insufferable for a couple of episodes. Didn’t really care for the kid either but otherwise it was just okay. It’ll be a while before I rewatch and I’ll likely stop at 8.
