I'm only 5'4", and I'm very disabled. I use a cane to get around most days. I've been having a good couple of weeks and decided to go a head and take the MSF course fully expecting to flunk out. But I've always wanted to do this, my father used to ride bikes, and with my disability it was a bit of a rebellion against what I was starting to tell myself I was locked into.
I'm over halfway done with the MSF course and just have tomorrow, and I'll pass or fail. Either way, I'm so SO proud of myself! I have a huge bruise on my right shin, and I ALMOST dropped the bike. But I freaking did it! Aaaaaah! This has really helped show me where my limits really are and they're a lot further than I gave myself credit for!
I just wanted to share this personal victory and milestone with everyone! Aaaaa! I'm gonna go take a cold shower and ice my shin now.
