How do I get over some bad habits and learn to love myself again?

So 34F here and this is something that's been on my mind quite a bit of late, and for obvious reasons not something I'm super comfortable asking friends for advice on, however following my divorce last year I've found it hard to break some of the bad habits I fell into during the latter stages of my marriage and while I do still have a sex drive, those bad habits have manifested into a real struggle to orgasm when I masturbate.

When I say bad habits, for sometime our sex life mostly revolved around my husband's pleasure and as we were trying for a baby, focused towards his orgasm for obvious reasons. But what I've discovered now, being single again, and hopefully having a more enjoyable sex life, is that after some stimulation, touching and using my fingers that I begin to get frustrated the longer it takes and just can't get over that edge to get closer to orgasm.

I've been contemplating buying a toy to help, and try and mix it up a little, but really don't know where to start as the options are endless, so if anyone has any advice on what to look for that would be greatly appreciated.

Ultimately though I'd like to be able to enjoy myself and know what works for me, so that I can feel confident in that area again, and also for when I start dating again that I know how to approach sex with someone new and can guide them on what works for me, so if anyone has any advice or been in a similar situation I'd love to hear your thoughts.
