I just received the most angry, vile message from a man about who and what I am. I could share the actual content, but it's pretty triggering and ultimately unimportant. I'm sure that all of you can imagine. No matter how many times it happens, and even though I know it's not about me, it's about them, I can feel the adrenaline in my veins. I feel like people don't understand that violent words have physical effects and do real harm. Anyhow. I guess I'm just needing to process to people who understand. I can deal with men being lewd or sending dick pics or just being generally clumsy, but when it's this level of anger and violence, this level of disrespect and obvious belief that women are slutty garbage bitches or whatever, it still shocks me somehow.
