Rant: I matched with someone on a dating app and we seemed to have a great conversation and were talking about meeting up. After plans were made he asked me if I live alone or with my family? I shut that down immediately and told him that women get uncomfortable when men ask questions like that. I decided against seeing him because of this which might be… not nice. But I’m a single mom who lives all alone and I don’t want to see someone who made me uncomfortable like that.
do men not think before they ask questions?? I can’t count how many times someone I was chatting with asked me if I live alone or with family. Do they not realize that that’s a genuine safety concern? I mean you know what my face looks like, my first name and my general location that’s enough personal information because if someone wanted to find you they could with just that.
