My coworker told me what happened to her this morning and it's appalling.
A manager at the gas station she goes to, complimented her about her perfume. Ok that's chill.
He then proceeds to say to her "I just have to hug you" and hugs her! Even worse, he didn't have a mask on.
Doesn't ask for permission, tells her.
Then asks her 21 questions about where she lives and who she lives with, etc.
STOP HUGGING US WITHOUT PERMISSION. Its gross. Its uncomfortable. THERES COVID.
That's my Ted Talk for today.
EDIT: Some have stated in the comments that this shouldn't be targeted at just men... it's an everyone problem. I'm only editing to not have anyone upset or offended. Ok. Just, no one touch or hug anyone without consent. That's all.
EDIT 2: It seems like I'm getting a lot of comments from men about this happening to them from females. I get that. But also...this subreddit is geared towards a women's perspective and it seems like there are those getting upset. I'm not changing the title. I have already made it clear in the first edit that NO ONE (whether its female, Male, gay, straight, non-binary, etc) should be touching/hugging/petting/kissing ANYONE without permission.
