So i have a story to share today, about a woman in need that i helped out about a week ago. I was working nights at the time this happened. It was my day off and i was coming home at about 2am. I go to use the elevator in the parking garage after i park and i find a young woman in the corner of the elevator sleeping. I nudge her awake and asked her how she got there. She said she was at a pool party earlier in the day at the pool in my apartment complex but lost track of her friends. She didnt know where to go, she didnt have her phone or keys on her, she didnt even have shoes on her. She was also really really drunk. I asked her if she wanted to sleep on my couch for the night, she accepted the invitation. We walked to my apartment and i gave her a blanket and a pillow and showed her where the couch was. I also let her call her own phone from mine just in case she could get a hold of her friends. She couldnt, so she layed down on my couch and knocked out within 2 minutes of hitting the pillow. I went to my room and left her a note on my door to let her know there was food in the fridge just in case she was hungry in the morning, i also told her to wake me up before she left in the morning so that she could use my phone or if she needed i could give her a ride. I also told her if she wanted to leave without saying anything i would understand, it was an embarassing situation after all. Once the note was on the door i fell asleep. I was woken up at 9:30 am by the her asking to use my phone. I said sure thing and after a quick phone call to her friends she told me her name, said thank you, and left. 2 days later i recieved a text from her phone really thanking me for what i did, and said that anyone could have found her in there. I said it was no problem and left it at that. I just wanted to leave this story here to attest to the fact that there really are people out there to help you along the way in life :).
