What is it with men that automatically assume you are interested in them just because you have a conversation with them and act nice?
Post Body

I've been single for 2 years since I broke up with my ex, and since then, sadly, all the men I've encountered have been very physically unattractive to me. So, I decided I’d start trying to become friends with these people instead, because there’s no way I’d ever have sex with them. A lot of them assume I’m talking to them because I want to date them, and I find this quite insulting, to be honest. There is no way in hell I’d ever even consider going out with them, much less having sex with these men. It's nearly impossible to make male friends online for this reason; all men are like YOU FEMALE, ME MALE, DATE, SEX NOW!

I remember a time when guys online were cool and you could just have a fun conversation and shoot the shit without it having to "lead" to anything.
