Literally if a man made a post saying that he’s feeling alone and the people in his life aren’t supportive they would get a MUCH better reaction then “depression for women is on easy mode bc men want to use them as human flesh lights ooga booga”

I’m in a lot of depression/ptsd/mental health subs and at least once a day I see a post along the lines of “women can’t be depressed in the way that men are because so many people are there for them JUST because they’re women” which loosely translates to “women can’t be depressed bc there are men willing to fuck them and women aren’t shitty to each other”.

It’s almost like they’re using depression to troll women. When I see a post from a man in the same subs about loneliness, depression, trauma, the comments are always so supportive and I match that energy. The rage baity “depression is worse for men” posts are really just shooting themselves in the foot. Posts like that take away from the men who are actually struggling and want help. Yet another way the patriarchy is putting them down which is what they were complaining about in the first place 🙃. Just a dumb ass loop of men hurting men and pointing the finger at women. My heart goes out to anyone struggling with depression.

Every woman I know irl loves emotionally intelligent men who communicate their feelings like an adult lol maybe you just don’t talk to enough women irl.

Okay hear me out; have you ever been in a night club, a man is making you uncomfortable, you make the face at the nearest woman. She’s a complete stranger but she walks up to you like you’re besties. You walk away telling her “thank you so much omg he was making me SO uncomfortable” and you immediately become besties for the rest of the night? Men don’t HAVE that. They need that. They can’t get that from validation from women. Esp while they’re putting us down. This post is @ the men with this mindset and has nothing to do with causes of depression.

Also, I completely forgot they use the word “pussy” towards each other which circles back to their lack of respect for women. Honestly so foul.
