Don’t know whether to laugh or scream while reading through this AskReddit thread about what men think is normal for them but weird for women

I've never understood it. My male relationships are so shallow and frivolous with only a couple of exceptions.

We have a lot of fun and really like each other. But it is based on actions, not emotional connection.

But that's also why I can not see those friends for 5 years and when we meet we can go have a beer like nothing has changed.

Most of my really deep relationships are with women. But if those relationships are not maintained the closeness dissipates.

Their differences are interesting to say the least.

Excellent point. You are absolutely correct.

That yard that doesn't require any tending also has a lot of wild blackberries growing on it that I happen to like.

There's nothing toxic about the relationship. It's just emotionally frivolous.

These relationships are emotionally superficial but not holistically.

I have a friend like this I've had for over twenty years. If my family ever needed anything he would do what he could for any of us.

But he just doesn't have any desire to open up emotionally to me and that is his choice. The relationship has a ton of benefits and no toxicity, why not?

Any relationship where you are expected to meet endless needs should be discarded, absolutely!
