hi all! the other day i got a chat request, as we all get from time to time, and what i saw was very disturbing. this individual, whose username was clearly a throwaway, sent me a chat request with a dick pic. there was no greeting, no words, just the picture. i've gotten unsolicited dick pics before and it's usually just annoying (but maybe that's bc i knew the person) but this feels violent. for context, i spend most of my reddit time in the various lgbtqia communities, lurking here, witch communities, and some fandoms. i can't help but think that the individual sent me the photo based on what they think my sexuality is (i'm pan so i do like dick, but only when it's consensual). i reported the person and they got permanently banned but i know they could make another account and do it again. i feel very helpless and i wish there were more i could do about it
