Edit: She got angry and has blocked me, saying I am toxic and useless and unhelpful. This is the 2nd or 3rd time that she has done this. I'm at peace but thanks for the input. It doesn't match the level of nuance here but it doesn't matter anymore.
I'm trying to explain to a female friend who keeps saying that because women are the ones mocking her activism for equal education of male and female genital nerves for doctors performing surgery (right now multiple female nerves, particularly many relating to orgasm are not taught or are optional whereas male is standardized), it is obviously not patriarchy.
I'm trying to explain that the standardization of the male body itself is patriarchy, and the fact that female doctors are attacking her does not make this less of a patriarchy issue, only that women in this instance are stupidly perpetuating it. The male doctors mostly don't acknowledge her activism. She insists this is proof that this isn't patriarchy. I am really tired of going in circles and don't know what to say.
Her work is very important but she wants to get to the next level of change through litigation/policy change and I'm trying to say that this is a clear case of sexual discrimination and she's saying it isn't. How to educate her? Or just let her continue to fail? She was a good friend but I'm so tired of her insisting this isn't patriarchy and turning down my legal arguments.
