I really dont understand the enthusiasm for Alan wake or Control or any of that universe tbh. Im literally watching Pat play Alan Wake 2 right now, Ive played through it myself, and it all just seems so…. Boring.

None of the games are really scary at all, the story is about as deep as Kingdom Hearts, and the games all have the same issue of being way too long without ever introducing any real gameplay changes.

They have some neat stuff with the whole SCP thing going on, and having it all be connected to a single story is cool, but the fundamental stories themselves are so plain that it makes me feel insane every time I hear Pat gush about how ‘wild’ it is when tHe DaRk PrEsEnCe does something that is incredibly predictable.
