So... this year's backpack policy states:
"Bag Policy
Backpacks are prohibited. Attendees may bring one bag (again, no backpacks) with a maximum size of 12”W x 12”H x 6”D. If you choose to bring a bag, it will be subject to search during entry.
Please leave backpacks, luggage, large bags, and bulky clothing at your hotel or home. Backpacks purchased at the event are not eligible for re-entry (including Twitch-branded backpacks). There will be a bag check on-site but space will be limited. We encourage all attendees to use the TwitchCon giveaway bag, or consider a small fanny pack or clear bag to expedite entry. "
I actually went to Twitchcon San Diego 2022, but I brought a very small backpack, but this year is just says all backpacks are prohibited straight up! Like... not even if they're small? Or as long as they're small enough then they'll let you in? Can anyone confirm? I'd hate to waste time waiting in line to get turned down.
I have a small backpack that they allowed inside 2 years ago (it met guidelines. they had a little guidelines card board stand up things and it fit perfectly) and I was planning on using the same backpack.
You guys think it will be fine or no? Did they get stricter? My backpack is around 12" x 10" x 3.5"
I checked the 2022 and 2024 backpack policy's and they both say the same thing. Small backpacks are fine right?
Here are links to both policy's:
