Mic sounds different on vods and clips

So as the title says, my mic doesn't sound the same on stream as in clips/vods. On stream it sounds fine, but in clips/vods my voice comes and goes. Needless to say I've already checked the audio channels and the mic is set to be heard both on stream and vods, so I really don't have a clue as to why it sounds different. If someone could help me I'd really appreciate it!
