I've been streaming for about a decade now not really putting a whole lot of effort in kind of just a side hobby. This year I wanted to take it more seriously so I did up my profile got a Webcam and started streaming more regularly. That however hasn't really translated into a whole lot of viewers most streams are usually empty for me. I started following an watching another streamer who I found out was brand new, less then 25 followers. I was watching an elden ring stream of his the other night an he happened to be streaming on tik tok at the same time. for comparison his twitch stream had me an one other guy so 2 viewers but meanwhile he was just calling out the viewer number on tik tok at times in disbelief "wow 20 viewers, omg 46 viewers during boss fight I can't believe it there's 86 people in here right now wow" and I sat there in shock as well, 86 concurret viewers on a popular game for a no name streamer? I feel like that's practically unheard of on twitch. Does tik tok just do a ridiculously better job at promoting streams? Anybody else have any experience with this, getting a much larger audience on tik tok vs twitch for a relatively small streamer?
