Hey all. I've been streaming for about 8 or 9 years just kind of off an on as a hobby. However this year when I was routinely laid off for the winter months (I do landscaping) I made a concerned effort to make myself live 6 or 7 days a week for atleast 2-3 hours minimum. But despite me putting in around 150-200 hours of stream time so far I've had maybe 3 or 4 people follow me. I class myself as a variety streamer an really only stream games I actually want to play whether I'm live or not. This year I've streamed skyrim, dead cells, pokemon, stalker anomaly, and civ 5 to give a few examples. People who've seen growth and have a following what should I do? Is it best to find a game with a community and just play nothing but that game and hopefully the people who like that game follow you? Is variety streaming destined to provide little growth from how often I switch games? I stream at 6500kb an have a corsair hs80 for my mic so video an audio quality is good. It just sucks streaming into the void of no one for hours at a time every day lol. Also I should say, I don't have any real intentions of making streaming my career/income but it would be nice to get a level of having a few people hop in/hang out in chat with me. Any advice is welcome TIA :)
