This prompt is admittedly shorter than expected because I tried not to spoil what PortFest is like except for Jack's attractive costumes. So I apologize that this isn't exactly accurate to the event that actually occurred in the Japan's version release.

It was a day of celebration on the docks of Sage Island. Music flooded the town. The people took to the streets and strolled them with their feet gracing across the cobblestone. Men, women, and children praised the entertainers for a unique yet glorious performance. As they privated their conversations away from the now-closed area, one of the event’s performers, Jack Howl, was busy sweeping the docks of the streamers and confetti that had danced across the sky during the festival. Mika, who originally came as a guest to the festival, decided that it was the perfect opportunity to assist in the cleaning while also connecting paths with her beloved.

“Looks like everyone’s had a wonderful time, Jack.”

“Mika, it’s going to be late by the time we’re finished here,” he responded.

“What’s the harm in adding an extra member to the cleaning crew?” she asked, smirking.

“Perhaps none.” Jack’s cheeks pinkened.

Mika swept some of the paper decorations into a dustbin. She swung around and landed a kiss onto Jack’s cheek when he leaned over to ease himself from standing almost the entire day. He stiffened out of surprise, but it quickly turned to giddiness. “I’m also glad that you reminded me of how good you look in any form of costume,” she teased.

Unwillingly, his tail wagged. Jack tried to snatch the tip of it to stop it from moving. “Mika, we’re still out in public.”

“Is there something wrong with that?”

Jack wanted to say, “Yes,” as a jerk reaction, but it wasn’t the truth. He didn’t know why it would be so embarrassing to have the love of his life praise him in front of people. It wasn’t like people were going to care.

“We could make a good musical duo, Jack. Would you ever play music for me back on campus?”

The blush on Jack’s face grew stronger. “Would you really like that?”

“If I didn’t, I would never have suggested it.” Mika giggled, her pale face adding some joyous color. “I could sing to anything you play.”

“If you ask…” He crossed his arms and grinned confidently. “Then, I’ll do anything you request.”

Mika’s smile widened. “Perhaps, we could do it in costume, too?”

Jack’s body straightened. “Alright, now, you’re pushin’ it,” he muttered.

“Awww, why’s that? I like this Jack Howl.”

His face reddened even further, and he didn’t even know that was possible. His forehead started shedding sweat bullets. “You’re not going to let up on this, are you?”

“I promise I won’t talk about it in front of Ace and Deuce…or even Grim.”

“You better not.”

“Don’t cha believe me?”

He sighed, releasing all of the color from his cheeks. Jack played with the tailends of Mika’s brown hair. “Of course, I believe you. There wasn’t a moment I didn’t.”

Mika reached to her tippy-toes and kisses Jack’s other cheek. His tag wagged once more.
