Idia suits best for this prompt because he and Ortho made the event happen.

Stephanie was in her nightdress, enjoying the evening air on the balcony outside her bedroom. The breeze was as gentle as a soft touch and cool as the ocean water. The night sky was as dark as the molten rock on the Isle of Woe, but Stephie forgave it with the stars that lit it. After blinking for the fifth time, she was utmost lucky to catch a falling star. She clasped her hands together and said:
âThank you, Holy Stars, for blessing my life journey thus far. I wish for happiness to come again and again from here after.â
A childlike voice called for her from inside. Ortho, Stephanieâs fiancĂ©âs younger brother glided from the hall into her room. He spotted her outside and floated out onto the balcony. âDid you see the falling star, Big Sis?â
She nodded. âWasnât it beautiful?â she asked.
He nodded with a âMmmhmmm!â He then questioned, âDid you make a wish?â
âI did.â
âGood. Itâs bound to come true.â
âI hope so.â
âIt will. A falling star is a promise from the vasts of space.â
Stephie crossed her arms and smirked. âYouâre extremely confident this evening. Where does it come from?â
âIdia and I made those wishes happen. We were Stargazers in the Starlight Festival at our school.â
She arched her brow. âStarlight Festival? Are you referring to the Starlight Festival Iâm thinking about?â
âIf it includes the Star Sending and wish making processesâŠâ
Stephanie was familiar with the holiday celebration. Although, she had never taken part since she lived a life that did not include going to school with a decent sized class or a family who cared about spending time together for just about anything. That didnât stop her from looking out her window and watching the largest collection of shooting stars she had ever seen. She didnât want to tell Ortho that he wasnât telling the truth or he was wrong, but before she had met him and his brother, Idia, none of her wishes came true.
She wished for her mother to love herâŠ
She wished for her father to come backâŠ
She wished for her siblings to notice herâŠAlright, that partially did happen, but not to the extent that she had hoped.
When she wished for someone to love her, that was when slowly, but surely, that wish phased into reality, and the wish was not on a star or by flipping a coin into a fountain. Meeting Idia had been a blessing in disguise, and every moment of the emotional journey she went through, she treasured it, through the good moments and the bad.
âYou said you were Stargazers? Whatâs that?â
âStargazers are responsible for collecting wishes and sending them to and from the sky. We make the promise that wishes will come true.â
âIdia did something like that?â She didnât want to sound skeptical, but if Idia couldnât speak to her for the first two weeks when they first met, how did he even get people to tell him their wishes? Then again, she supposed that his tablet did all the work, and if Ortho was there, what was to complain about?
âWe were assigned the job, but it was so fun.â It was not a surprise that Ortho enjoyed the experience. âOur Starlight Festival almost didnât happen due to the weather, but Idia saved the day.â
âIdia saved the day?â
âOrtho!â Speaking of the devil⊠âIâve been sneezing for two minutes straight.â Idia sped into Stephanieâs room as if he had somewhere he needed to be. He peered through the slide door and glared. âI knew it.â
âBig brother! We were just talking about the Starlight Festival we did and how fun it was.â
Idiaâs cheeks reddened. âFun? You thought getting down on your knees like a peasant, begging for wishes was fun?â
Stephanie smirked. She definitely could fit in Idiaâs shoes, confronting his schoolmates at an all-male academy. Rounding a bunch of high school boys to do what was known as a childâs festival had to be an ordeal.
âBut, Idia, your wish came true that day, remember? You got the video game sequel youâd been dying for.â
âOh?â Stephie peeped. âIs that right, Idia?â
âOrtho, for the love ofâŠâ He deeply sighed, brushing his bangs out of his face. âYes, but that was a mere coincidence.â
âIs it really, Idia?â asked Ortho. âYouâd been wishing for it for so long, but when we brought the wishes to the sky, it just happened like that.â Orthroâs vocals lowered in tone. âSure it was a coincidence. What about Mikaâs wish? You helped her wish come true, and she didnât have a star to wish on.â
âOrtho, we all had a part to play in regards to that. I think itâs time for you to understand that wishes are just a romantic ploy to get peopleâs hopes up. What gets things done is hard work and inspiration. If people just wait idly by, nothing gets done. Most wishes on stars donât come true, and thatâs that.â
Stephie approached Idia with a sway. âOh, Idia, but they have.â
Idiaâs eyebrows perked up. âThey have? Stephie, I didnât think you were into this either.â
She nodded. âLike the man and his puppet child, wishes do come true, whether itâs on a star or with none at all. Itâs like you said, with hard work and inspiration, they can happen. You might not know it, but you made those wishes come true that day. You should be proud.â
Stephanieâs words rang like gospel in Idiaâs mind. The thought of it made him blush, which he covered quickly with his left hand. âButâŠStephâŠâ
Her eyes twinkled. âWhat is it?â
After the blush faded away, he dropped his hand. âWhether it was me or fate, I couldnât give you everything you wanted.â
âIdia, I told you to stop feeling guilty about that. Youâve given me more than I imagined. Whether it was what I was looking for or not, I regret nothing.â
Ortho giddily danced in the air. âAwww, Stephanie, thatâs so sweet!â
She blushed pink. âI do my best.â
âSpeaking of doing,â Idia interrupted, âyou should probably wash up before going to bed, yeah?â
âOh, right! I should.â Stephanie carefully squeezed in between Idia and the sliding door, and she made her way back into her room and towards the bathroom.
Idiaâs cheeks filled with color again, and this time, he didnât shy the color away.
âSomeday, you should show your true feelings, Big Bro.â
âIn due time, Ortho, in due timeâŠâ
