I recently was laid off from my job and I'm having a hard time finding jobs in the communications/marketing/writing fields. It seems insanely competitive here. I've landed a few interviews, but haven't received a full-time gig. The last job I interviewed for the HR manager said more than 300 people applied for the job. I'm glad I got the interview still, but this seems insanely competitive! Any advice on networking/temp agencies or generally creative/admin gigs here? I'd even accept a seasonal position to give myself more time to find a decent full-time gig.
